Hi BSC Singers,
The Costume Committee has agreed to the following jewelry guidelines for the 2024 contest costume:
- Everyone will wear the dangly rhinestone earrings that we wore in past years -- see attached photo. If you do not yet have a pair of these earrings, please send email to Joyce ([email protected]) and she will get a pair to you. If you are a newbie, they are free of charge. If you have lost your earrings and need a replacement, it will be $5 per pair.
- If you need clip-on earrings (because you don't have pierced ears), please send email to Joyce ([email protected]) and she will make you a pair of clip-on earrings. We are NOT going to use the "converters" that were tried last year (they didn't work!). Joyce made a pair of clip-on earrings for Susan Milliken, and those custom-made clip-ons worked well. Please let Joyce know if you need a pair as soon as possible, as they do require extra parts and take time to make.
- Optional rhinestone necklace: Instead of using stick-on rhinestone tape to decorate your tunic top, you may add a rhinestone necklace to your contest outfit. This optional necklace should be all rhinestone (or diamonds depending on your budget!) and be on the simple side, so it does not over-power your outfit or clash with the earrings. The necklace should not be the biggest focus of your outfit. If in doubt, please bring in your choice of necklace for approval by the contest committee.
